Dance for the World - Saturday 1 June

The Glasgow dancing tribe’s annual fundraiser for refugee charity, Refuweegee. We gather to dance in support of people who've been forced to flee their homes in different parts of the world, to seek sanctuary among us here in Scotland. We’ll dance together, write a welcome card for new refugees to Glasgow and there's time to share food together at the end if you wish.

5Rhythms teacher Angela Lord and I will be co-holding the space with a mix of led and un-led dance time. We ask that folk attending have experience of at least one taught class of Open Floor, 5Rhythmns or Movement Medicine.

Time: 2.30-5.30pm

Venue: Yama, 7 Milnbank Street, Glasgow G31 3AQ.

Cost: There is a minimum fee of £5 to cover the cost of rent of the space, and please add whatever you feel you can afford; perhaps giving in total at least what you would normally pay for your class. Any surplus after paying the rent will be donated to Refuweegee.

Booking: Email me to book

If you can't attend and would like to donate you can do that here on the event's JustGiving page. You can also share the JustGiving page with friends and family and encourage them to give as well. Thank you.

Embracing Change - 9-13 August 2024

Change is inevitable, unpredictable, and often out of our control. The enormity and pace of personal and planetary change can leave us feeling helpless and off-balance. How do we adapt to shifting circumstances without losing our footing? Can we face change from a place of resource?

I’ll be supporting my teacher Deborah Lewin at this multi-day workshop at the Universal Hall in Findhorn Eco-Village. Join us for a deep dive into your dance and resource yourself for meeting and moving with the changes of life.

Date: Friday 9th - Tuesday 13th August

Venue: Universal Hall, The Park Eco-Village, Findhorn, Scotland

Cost: Early bird price £295, before 14 June. Full price £340, from 15 June. £150 deposit secures your place. Subsidised places available.
